About Me
Thanks for visiting www.TheTomorrowGame.com
A long and winding path led me to its creation...
Today’s emerging focus on conscious reality-creation is, at heart, a focus on how we interact spiritually with the world. Understanding the nature of that interaction has been my quest all my life. It began in a childhood richly steeped in an ecumenical Christianity. Then, while studying psychology in college, I discovered the American transcendentalists and they set my mind on fire. A sojourn in San Francisco during the infamous “Summer of Love” in the mid-60’s introduced me to Eastern religions and the I Ching. I went on to explore Carlos Castaneda's’ series on shamanism and alternate realities, Jane Roberts’ Seth materials that expounded on the multidimensional nature of our being, The Urantia Book’s portrayal of the vastness and meaning of our spiritual reality, the Kabbalah’s paths through the labyrinth of mind, Transcendental Meditation’s techniques for resting in the silent center. Meanwhile, I kept an eye on contemporary trends in self-actualization literature, watching for additional clues to the ways we, as embodied, time-bound bits of spiritual consciousness, could learn to express more of our seemingly boundless potential. And now, as I review the teachings of deliberate reality-creation that are seeping into mass consciousness, I delight at their practical simplicity. Dancing joyfully between inner and outer, they unify the two in a way that will bring expanded awareness, experiential wealth, and new depths of spiritual understanding for everyone who is drawn to learn and apply them. My own outer world has mirrored the penchant for diversity that’s marked my private studies. For a couple years, I owned and operated a metaphysical bookstore and art gallery where I did over 2,000 Tarot readings, studied astrology, lead classes and workshops on a wide range of topics, and showcased the work of local artists. In addition to owning the bookstore, I’ve held over 50 different jobs, working in the fields of food service, real estate, telemarketing, photography, kitchen remodeling, water conditioning, custom picture framing, publishing, encyclopedia sales, telecommunications, multi-level marketing, electricity trading, low-back rehabilitation, franchise sales, leadership and motivational training, and mental health. I laughingly think of myself as an "adept generalist." I’ve lived on both coasts of the United States and in a few States in between. In my travels I’ve befriended people from all walks of life—madmen, murderers, ministers, and millionaires. I’ve spent time visiting people in country clubs, welfare lines, and prisons. I’ve been a pen pal to dozens of people over the years, writing well over 4,000 letters. I’ve been married, divorced, and widowed, and currently share my home with a feline fur-kid named Tink. I have one adult son, a mechanical engineer, and a beautiful little granddaughter. When I’m not at my computer, I can usually be found, camera in hand, wandering through nature’s wild gardens. Winning the Tomorrow Game is my first book, an overview of some of the self-actualization tools that I’ve found most effective in my own life. May it contribute to an expression of yourself that’s reflected in a more joyful, satisfying, meaningful life. Thank you, again, for stopping by. Your comments and questions are always welcome. Warm Regards, Susan K. Minarik
